What is Constipation?
Bowel movements varies person to person. Somebody’s movements goes three times while others its may be once or twice a week.
Being longer going than three or more days without is usually means constipation. In this condition stool become harder and tougher while passing.

What are the symptoms?
If you are constipated you may suffer these problems:
Few bowel movements, trouble having a bowel movement. (cricking), hard and small stools, swollen abdomen with abdominal pain.

Some causes of constipation include:
Changing in usual diet or activities, antacid medicines containing calcium or aluminum, eating excessive dairy products. IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), lacking of physical activities, lack of fiber, inadequate water drinking. Random or excessive use of laxatives, problems with digestive system and also during pregnancy period.
Pain killer medicines such as anti-depressants, narcotics or iron pills) can also be cause of constipation.

You can follow these tips:
Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day. If there is no other health reason or doctor’s advice). Try to drink a little warm water/liquid added with one teaspoon honey in the morning. Include vegetables and fruits in your diet. Eat bran cereal.

Here are some great foods to prevent constipation. Fortunately, there are many foods that we can eat to help relieve from constipation and some of foods to avoid that can make constipation worse. 

To be eat: Beans, kiwi, flax seed, berries, pears, plums and apples. Popcorn, Sweet potatoes with skin

To be avoid:
Chocolate, cheese, butter, sour cream, ice cream, potato chips, frozen meals, red meat, hamburgers and hot dogs.

When planning a healthy diet, choose high-fiber containing foods to help you stay regular. Fiber helps to soften stool so it moves smoothly through the colon. 
Caution:  When adding fiber to your diet for the first time, go slowly to avoid bloating and gas discomfort.
